The Masovian Region<\/strong> is the largest one in Poland, with the capital Warsaw, which is also capital of Poland. From 5,36 million inhabitants 65% are living in municipalities.<\/p>

Warsaw is the governmental centre as well as the place of activities of different entities engaged in improvement of energy efficiency in different economy sectors on national and regional level. There are 755 835 buildings in the region where 290 722 in municipalities and 465 113 in rural areas. More than 50% of total building stock was built in years 1945-1970, and as for 2012 there were 6900 public buildings in the region.<\/p>

The owners of multifamily buildings in Masovian are one of mayor consumers of the financing scheme for thermomodernization in Poland, which has existed since 1998, however the coverage ratio is still low (15%). New financing instruments combined of the loans, EU subsidies and EU Elena assistance shall speed up the modernisation process. The state program \u201cClean Air\u201d needs to be better available for its beneficiaries. The SMEs took part in several pilot projects related to energy audits.<\/p>

The EU co-financed country-wide Energy Advisory Network of the National Fund for Environment Protection (NFOS) needs to be enhanced by deeper involvement of regional public and non-public entities, like the Masovian Energy Agency, Association of Energy Auditors, Masovian Development Agency, commercial banks. The aim of the action will be to make the existing financing schemes better available for final beneficiaries in housing sector and among SMEs through co-ordination of similar activities managed by different organisations.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

National Energy Conservation Agency<\/a><\/h3>

Narodowa Agencja Poszanowania Energii S.A. (National Energy Conservation Agency) was established in 1994 in Warsaw, Poland, to promote energy-saving investments and rational use of energy, in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. The main area of our activity is the building sector.

\n\nWe specialize in energy consulting, developing audits and energy performance certificates for buildings. NAPE is one of the few companies in Poland issuing energy performance certificates for buildings equipped with advanced technical systems, as well as for public buildings. We conduct trainings and publish manuals for energy auditors, spreadsheets for preparing audits and educational materials. We also implement international projects related to the energy efficiency of buildings, financing their modernization, the use of renewable energy sources and polygeneration, promotion of energy efficiency, integrated energy design and modern heating, cooling and ventilation technologies.\n

\nWe prepare applications for subsidies from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, European Funds and thermo-modernization bonuses from banks. NAPE also acts as a verifier in the Polish Sustainable Energy Financing Facility for small and medium-sized enterprises PolSEFF. We also verify projects financed by the European Investment Bank.\n

\nWe cooperate with the Energy Conservation Foundation, the Association of Energy Auditors, the Warsaw University of Technology, regional energy conservation agencies, government and local government bodies, non-governmental organizations, banks financing energy-saving investments and renewable energy sources, and many foreign partners. We are also a founding member of the National Association \u201cRespect for Energy and the Environment\u201d (SAPE-POLSKA).\n<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
