First National Roundtable in Denmark

First National Roundtable in Denmark

17 - 18 March 2021

Online

The purpose of the national roundtable was to bring together key players for a dialogue on financing energy efficiency in buildings and businesses in Denmark, with a view to discuss the needed supportive framework and concrete initiatives and measures.

The roundtable included a focus on possible concrete initiatives at the regional level. The national roundtable will thus be followed up by regional roundtables in the Central Denmark Region, the Region of Southern Denmark and in Eastern Denmark, which will facilitate concrete actions at the regional level in interaction with national frameworks and initiatives.

The event follows on from previous events organized by the European Commission as part of the “Smart Finance for Smart Buildings” initiative under the Sustainable Energy Investment Forums project, which aims to strengthen cooperation between public and private actors involved in the development of funding programs.

The most recent national roundtable in Denmark took place on 14 May 2019, and involved key stakeholders from both the energy sector and the financial sector. Reporting from this event can be found via this link.

In Denmark, the RoundBaltic project is implemented by EC Network and GATE21 as well as Central Denmark Region and Southern Denmark Region.
