POLISH-DANISH EXPERIENCES IN THE AREA OF ENERGY PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATES
Using EPCs to enhance financing of energy efficiency

On June 23, 2022, SAPE in cooperation with the other RoundBaltic project partners and the Danish Embassy in Poland, organized a training seminar/discussion on the development and use of Energy Performance Certificates to promote the attraction of energy efficiency projects and investments.
The event gathered 40 participants from RoundBaltic, Poland and Denmark representing state, municipal and financial institutions, as well as private sector and service providers.
The following topics were touched upon:
Current status of EPC in Denmark and Poland
Features developed within the X-Tendo project to enhance EPCs e.g. in relation to one-stop-shops promoting energy efficiency
Presentation of the CrossCert project – following up on X-Tendo recommendations in Poland and Denmark.
Changes in the upcoming revision of the EPBD affecting EPCs
Learning events in RoundBaltic
The scope of RoundBaltic is to address key aspects that can help accelerating energy efficiency investments in Poland, Latvia and Denmark as well as across the entire Baltic Sea Region (BSR) covering public and private buildings as well as the SME sector. The learning events will explore the specific challenges and solutions of these target countries and the prospects of replication in the BSR and EU wide.
